Mission
To provide each student with a rich, rigorous and personalised education in an intimate setting that fosters creativity and achievement.

Vision
That each student’s unique talents be uncovered and cultivated for a life that is full, rewarding, and characterised by compassion and a love for learning.

Values
Each child matters. Every student has some strengths to build from, and our goal is to give every one of our pupils the opportunity to discover the incredible joy of learning that led us to become teachers in the first place.

We are a community. We are a college in the tradition of the Liberal Arts, which means that, although some members of our community are teachers and others are students, we are all scholars, and we will support one another however we may as we learn and study together.

Rigour and personalisation are mutually necessary. When we say we offer a rigorous education, we mean that we expect each student’s individual best, and no less. To help their students reach that level of labour and achievement, our teachers are proud to use every available technology and all the resources in our local community to give meaningful experiences and constant, timely and useful feedback, all while ensuring a high standard of knowledge and skill-development.

Technology
Technology is fundamental to how we learn and Alcuin College supports the use of technology to develop skills and enhance the curriculum. Students are, therefore, encouraged to utilise the device and platform of their preference in purposeful ways.

We will model online etiquette and responsible use, and our students are required to use the technology resources in a caring and responsible manner, in accordance with our values.
